Google STEP Intern Program

Introduction:

The main aim of the Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) is to bridge the gap between academic studies and a professional internship. STEP (Student Training in Engineering Program) is a 10-12 week internship for second-year undergraduate students with a passion for computer science. It offers the opportunity to work on a software project alongside other STEP interns, with the support of full-time Googlers and a mentor. This summer trainee program includes:

• Software Project: A development project that you will work on with a team of Googlers and other STEP Interns.

STEP internship starts in May/June and is 10-12 weeks in duration.

Eligibility Criterion:

• Currently in the second year of study, enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, majoring or intending to major in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently.

Timeline:

The Google STEP program in India takes place between May and August. Interested candidates should ensure they prepare and submit their applications promptly to secure an opportunity to participate. Applications are expected to be released during December-January.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the Google STEP program consists of the following stages:

• Online Assessment (OA): This stage includes an assessment with two coding questions. Candidates are required to solve these questions within a specified time frame.
